San Jacinto Mountains
The San Jacinto Mountains (Avii Hanupach in Mojave) are a small range in southern California, located east of Los Angeles. The range extends about 30 miles from the San Bernardino Mountains southeast to the Santa Rosa Mountains, with a high point of 10,834 ft at San Jacinto Peak. The mountains are named for one of the first black friars, San Jacinto, a popular patron in Latin America.
